The most common mistake brands do, is to publish the same content on IG and Facebook. Yes, it is a mistake because most of the time your community overlaps. So you are saying the same things to the same people, which is boring and not engaging, which is exactly what you want to avoid on social media.
So after a few months of posting the same content on both platforms, in order to kickstart our IG, we decided to move to exclusive content. We started a few photo manipulation, following the trends, but that was not as unique as we wanted it to be.
A few years ago I had the same challenge, a Telco came to us with the same brief “I want more content, more followers, more engagement”. So we worked with them on unique types of content, shooting unplugged versions of their artists’ biggest hits, engaging and fun interviews, and we made it. From 5K to 30K Followers in 6 months.
We have hired the perfect person for our IG, and she came with a hell of a good plan: fashion shots with IG influencers, with product placement. Each month a theme, a photographer, some IG influencers as talents, a contest per theme, and all influencers to help amplify the content through their account.
We started growing pretty well and steadily and the engagement skyrocketed with an average of 3000 likes per post, and more than 1000 followers per month.
